Bill
Hsu (徐晉旭)
plays piano and works with electronics in performance. He has built
software tools for synthesis and real-time performance. He is a
member of the Beanbender's collective, which organized over 150
concerts of new music in the San Francisco Bay area. He has lived
in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United States, and is currently
based in San Francisco.
Nelson
Hiu (邱立信),
born and raised in Honolulu Hawaii, is a fourth generation descendant
of Chinese and Japanese immigrants. His interest in music, improvisation
and self-discovery began while a secondary school student during
the tumultuous late 60's and early 70's. He studied ethno-musicology
at the University of Hawaii and has supported himself primarily
as a dance class accompanist. He currently plays an acoustic modified
ye-hu (chinese coconut fiddle) and the dong-siu (vertical bamboo
flute).
Ling
Lee (李笑玲)
is a dancer, choreographer and a vocalist. Ling has performed her
work in Hong Kong, Macau, Hawaii, New York, Japan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou,
Taipei, Berlin and Munich. She formed Uncarved Block, a new dance
group, in 1996. She has released CDs with Dancing Stone and Yihk.
