ArtMart 2006 – Annual Fundraising Event for Para/Site
Para/Site Art Space is proud to present our eighth installment of ArtMart 2006, o ur annual auction of artworks by emerging and established artists within the Pearl River Delta region, featuring Stanley Wong, Kan Tai Keung, Yoshitaka Amano, Kith Tsang and Choi Yan Chi, etc . The fundraising event consists of two parts: the Auction Preview, starting from 7 November 2006 and the Art Auction on 14 November 2006. All proceeds from this fundraising campaign will go directly to support Para/Site Art Space in fostering and promoting contemporary visual arts in Hong Kong.

Para/Site ArtMart Auction Preview 2006
Para/Site Art Space is delighted to collaborate with Swire Properties to present Para/Site ArtMart Auction Preview 2006 at Three Pacific Place. More than 20 pieces of original artworks in various media will be on display. An exhibition catalogue will also be provided to assist viewing the works. The details are as follows:

Exhibition Period : 7 – 13 November 2006
Time : 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Venue : Starstreet UG Lobby, Three Pacific Place, 1 Queen's Road East

Art Auction at Pi
Our annual signature event, Art Auction will be held in 14 November at Pi on 8 Wyndham Street, 28F Central. The Art Auction will begin at 7pm with a casual cocktail reception, bidding starts at 7 :30pm. Further instructions for the auction will be included with the invitation and on our website.

ArtMart is a perfect event to view and bid on spectacular artworks from Hong Kong and our neighboring cities in the Pearl River Delta Region, to meet artists collaborating with Para/Site Art Space, to learn more about their works and to get together with fellow art-lovers.

ABOUT ARTMART
ArtMart started 8 years ago to raise funds for our organisation and to promote Hong Kong art and its artists. Every year, we hope to improve upon ourselves to make ArtMart a more exciting event, better serving the needs of the artists, our supporters and the community. Through ArtMart, it is our goal to raise more funds for artists to focus on the production process of art and put on high quality exhibitions.

ABOUT PARA/SITE ART SPACE
Para/Site Art Space is a non-profit art organization in the center of Hong Kong founded by a group of artists in the beginning of 1996 as one of the first independent art spaces in Hong Kong. We produce, exhibit and com municate local and international contemporary art to the local art community and are involved in various international exhibitions such as the 4 th Gwangju Biennale 2002, the 50 th Venice Biennale 2003 and the 2 nd Guangzhou Triennial 2005.

Our main activities include presenting an ambitious year programme comprising 10 exhibitions, publications of catalogues and PS magazine, Hong Kong's only bilingual visual arts publication. To compliment our year programme, seminars, talks and workshops conducted by both local and international art professionals are regularly organised. We also manage another exhibition space - Para/Site Central, the smallest exhibition venue in Hong Kong, hosted by Hanart TZ Gallery in Central, featuring young local emerging talents.

Para/Site Art Space is supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council as well as vital contributions from patrons and friends of Para/Site Art Space.

ABOUT STARSTREET
Starstreet – the precinct centered around Three Pacific Place comprising Star Street, Moon Street, Sun Street, Wing Fung Street and the like – is fast gaining buzz as a destination for those who are in the mood for unique lifestyle choices. ArtMart 2006 Para/Site 藝術空間週年籌款活動
Para/Site 藝術空間週年籌款活動－第八屆 ArtMart 2006 即將舉行。今年我們邀請到一班享譽盛名的藝術家，包括又一山人、靳埭強、 Yoshitaka Amano 、曾德平、蔡仞姿等參與，再加上多位珠江三角洲的新晉藝術家。是次籌款活動的拍賣會預展將於二零零六年十一月七日開始，而拍賣會則定於十一月十四日舉行。籌款活動的所有收益均撥歸 Para/Site 藝術空間作推廣藝術用途。

拍賣會預展
Para/Site 藝術空間十分高興與太古地產合作，於太古廣場三座舉行拍賣會預展。是次展覽將展出超過二十件，包括不同媒介的原創藝術作品，並提供場刊以供參閱，詳情如下：

展期：十一月七日至十一月十三日
時間：上午九時至下午八時
地點：皇后大道東一號，太古廣場三座，星街 UG 大堂

拍賣會（ Pi ）
是次籌款的重頭盛事， ArtMart 拍賣會將於十一月十四日在中環雲咸街 8 號 28 樓的 Pi 舉行。拍賣會將於晚上七時開始，並設有酒水招待。競投於八時半結束，而中標名單則於九時公佈。參與競投的詳細指引請參閱邀請卡或 Para/Site 網站。

ArtMart 提供一個可貴的機會供大眾觀摩及競投本地及珠三角城市的優秀作品，亦提供一個讓藝術家和廣大藝術愛好者互相交流，深入了解藝術作品的場所。

關於 ArtMart
已連續八年舉辦的 ArtMart 不單為 Para/Site 籌募營運經費，亦成功地向大眾推廣本地及鄰近地區的藝術家及藝術作品。每年我們都務使這頂活動更加盡善盡美，更切合藝術家、競投者及社區的需要。透過 ArtMart 得到的經費一方面可以支持藝術家專注於藝術創作，亦令我們能夠策劃更多高質素的展覽項目。

關於 Para/Site 藝術空間
Para/Site 藝術空間是一個香港的非牟利藝術組織，由一群藝術家於一九九六年創立，身處香港的中心地區，是本地最早創立的獨立藝術空間之一。透過創造、展覽和交流，我們把本地和國際的當代藝術帶到本地的藝壇之中。此外 Para/Site 積極參與國際藝術展覽，如２００２年第四屆光州雙年展、２００３年第五十屆威尼斯雙年展和２００５年第二屆廣州三年展。

關於星街小區
星街小區以太古廣場三座為中心，由附近的日街、月街、星街及永豐街等組成，早於百多年前已是本港首間發電廠的所在地，現集各類型格藝術廊、家居精品店、花店、咖啡室、主題餐廳及酒吧等，吸引了不少年青企業家、藝術家及設計師在此創業。配合優質的建築環境，這些「星級」創業家逐漸將別樹一格的藝術玩味滲入此區。無論在此上班、生活或是偷閒消遣，星街小區已漸漸成為追求優質生活一族的據點。
